The Irish company, Keywords Studios has acquired Yokozuna Data. Yokozuna Data is based in Tokyo focused on A.I and machine learning.  They work with game companies to develop predictive analytics using artificial intelligence.  Yokozuna Data’s tools are able to predict a player’s behavior and whether or not they might purchase in-game items.Silicon Studio is a Japanese middleware and game developer that has owned the exclusive rights to Yokozuna Data. Keywords has agreed to pay Silicon Studios $1.5m in cash for the business, technology rights and trademarks. Silicon Studios will continue to maintain non-exclusive rights to sell the technology into markets outside of games.

Keywords has acquired a number of companies since the begining of 2018 including:

  • Snowed In Studios – $4m CAD in Canada
  • Blindlight – $10m in Los Angeles
